SUPPORT FOR FREELANCE CREATIVES
MENTORING | CYCLICAL LIVING | WRITING | WORKSHOPS
HI, I'M JEN
I'm the happy face, typing hands, addled brain, and positive spirit behind Silly Heart.
Based in Epsom, Surrey I work with creative women all over Europe and beyond as they build small businesses around everyday and family life.
Freelancing females who feel overwhelmed and are tired of pulling long hours, and seeing little result.
People who want their time to be productive, not reactive, and their work to actually (shhh, whisper it) make money!
"I've been watching other people do what I want to do with my business for years, and now I'm actually doing it too. Jen's nuggets of wisdom and very gentle prodding were just what I needed.
Our conversations have been invaluable."

TOGETHER WE'LL FOCUS ON...
TOOLS, RESOURCES, AND PRACTICAL ADVICE
How to price your work (and sell it confidently), how to structure your week so you've time for rest, and break down overwhelming projects into realistic steps.
THE HEART AND SOUL OF YOUR BUSINESS
Why you make what you make, who you dream of working with, and (one of my favourite bits) how to tell your story so they dream of working with you too!
WORKING WITH YOUR BODY, NOT AGAINST IT
Planning your time to suit your physical and emotional needs, harnessing the power of your menstrual cycle, and setting clear and kind boundaries for yourself.
FIND YOUR FLOW
I've been running my own creative businesses for six years, and been a mother of twins for half that time (though some days it feels a lot longer)! I can safely say I understand the power of working in a sustainable and purposeful way that serves you. A way that truly fits around every day life, not just stuffed into the fringe hours.
By working with natural and inner cycles, and being kind to myself, I approach my business with purpose and no longer burn energy swimming against the tide. I create when at my most creative, network when at my most sociable, rest and reflect when my energy turns inwards.
You can learn more about cyclical living and working, and find resources to support your own journey on my Freebies page.
"I'd highly recommend Jen to anyone feeling confused about where they're heading, either in work or their personal life. She has a great ability to unravel several trains of thought or multiple plans and has a happy, friendly style in the feedback she gives. I found it incredibly helpful as I navigate raising a toddler alongside the pull to create an income, and satisfy creative urges.
Above all, Jen keeps a firm hold of the human side, keeping tasks and goals realistic and within the bounds of what is both truly achievable and desirable in these real-life situations."
